How Peak Leverage connects to Practice Better

Webhooks can be configured directly in the Practice Better UI to send JSON payloads to an endpoint URL when specific events happen, such as a client completing an intake form or paying an invoice. This is the primary way to trigger downstream marketing automations.

Developers must respect the 100 requests per minute rate limit. If building a high-volume integration, implement exponential backoff logic to handle HTTP 429 Too Many Requests responses gracefully.

Standard REST API versioning applies. Ensure your endpoint URLs explicitly call `/v1/` to prevent unexpected breaks if Practice Better releases a V2 API.

Because Practice Better stores sensitive personal health information (PHI), API keys must be stored securely on the server and never exposed in client-side code. Ensure any third-party tools receiving webhook data are also HIPAA compliant if handling medical data.

Peak Leverage uses native embeds when they preserve the required data capture and operator flow, and uses custom integration when more control is needed.
